A brand identity for an award-winning creative leader who is equal parts yoga instructor & hostage negotiator.

MG wanted an experience that serves as a curated retrospective, showcasing the breadth and depth of her leadership and innovation across diverse mediums.

With bold, punchy copy and a palette of rich, nurturing earth tones, our objective was to create a versatile brand identity and website that allows MG to seamlessly explore new opportunities across various industries and help position her for continued success in the next phase of her career.

Inspiration

Drawing energy from the rhythm of the city, a space where grit and grace coexist, the visual direction for MG’s brand reflects a deliberate duality. Bustling, tough, graphic cityscapes sit beside serene, zen-like environments filled with natural light and quiet textures, to represent the visual balance between cosmopolitan edge and grounded calm.

Inspired by MG’s blend of identities—a nurturing, intuitive leader with a sharp, creative eye and unshakable presence—we explored the intersection of softness and strength to form a visual guide that feels deeply modern, effortlessly powerful, and quietly centered.

Branding

To express the inherent duality of MG’s brand, we selected Rampart One—a striking typeface with sharp, structural forms that nod to the skyline of New York City for the logo. The font’s confident and unapologetic energy echoes her toughness and creative authority.

Balancing that visual weight is a palette of rich, jewel-toned hues: mustard yellow for warmth and vitality, rich olive green for wisdom and growth, and muted blues to reflect her calm, composed presence. These tones bring a sense of depth and maturity to the brand, grounding the more assertive elements in something soulful and centered.

The result is a visual identity that captures her rare combination of qualities—a nurturing earth mother with sharp instincts and sophisticated creative vision. Strong, but never cold. Soft, but never uncertain.

Web Design

With several possible career directions, MG emphasized the need for a portfolio that captures her essence and supports whichever path she chooses: “I think I need a portfolio that reflects who I am now and how I work. The things I’ve done in the past might not necessarily be what I will continue to do in the future.”

MG’s portfolio was designed with clarity and impact in mind, just like MG’s creative leadership style. Built on Squarespace to give her the autonomy to manage and update the site without ongoing developer support, the layout is intentionally simple and built to deliver a strong first impression without unnecessary complexity. Bold, punchy copy takes center stage, with short, sharp bullet points replacing long-form paragraphs.

MG’s portfolio section functions as a curated overview. An at-a-glance retrospective reflects the breadth of her career without lingering too long on any single project. This approach keeps the focus on momentum and vision, rather than exhaustive detail. It’s not about showing everything—it’s about showing just enough, with style and conviction. Like MG herself, the result is direct, confident, and effortlessly cool.

“Charlotte is a thoughtful, creative and a great collaborator. I could not have envisioned a better strategic partner to bring my portfolio to life. She possesses an infectious desire to produce memorable and engaging design.”
